I had the privilege of visiting one of my dearest photography friends last week in Minneapolis. We had such a fabulous time sitting in coffee shops and looking at websites together [it was below zero the whole time!].
At church on Sunday, the speaker made an interesting comment that stood out to me. It is such a very good reminder about what we should do with our lives. I hope my life is defined in this way:
"The value of your life is determined by what you give."

On January 2nd, I had the honor of opening the new year with the wedding of one of my oldest and dearest friends. Paula married a dashing Joby Voetberg. Together, they celebrated their marriage with 550 of their friends.
The day began with an amazing surprise - SNOWFALL in Vancouver! What could have complicated things very fast, proved to be just a fabulous addition to an exciting day! A wedding party of 24, portraits outside, inside the local Heathman Lodge, and a rockin reception made the day truly wonderful.
Paula and Joby, thank you so much for letting me be a part of the most special day of your lives. I wish you all the happiness in the world.
This month I have been focusing on finishing the work that the Revolutionary Media team began last March when we began our project of working with the street people of Portland. Together, we wrote a book describing the life stories, the quotes, and the portraits of the street teens of Portland. Now, nearly 10 months later, the final drafting is in the works.
I just sent Dear World to blurb.com for some self publishing. Here's a sneak preview of the cover!
